Our Mission

The Foundation for Total Recovery is dedicated to restoring the hope and health of those who suffer from immune-mediated neuroinflammatory disease manifesting as fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, chronic Lyme disease, PANS/PANDAS, long COVID, treatment-resistant depression, and neuropsychiatric disorders.

For too long, medicine has built a tower of Babel around these chronic illnesses, merely diagnosing the symptoms and dismissing the patients, ultimately failing to understand the real cause of their suffering. We now know that these chronic illnesses share a common pathophysiology, which makes finding better treatment and a cure more achievable–but we still need more research. Through collaboration with the world’s leading clinicians, researchers and top institutions, our purpose is to:

  • null
Conduct research to develop improve understanding, diagnostic and treatment protocols for these immune-mediated neuroinflammatory conditions.
  • null
Educate medical professionals on the latest and most effective treatments for these illnesses to improve understanding and patient care.
  • null
Partner with patient-advocating organizations to amplify their voices within the medical profession.
  • null
Find a cure for this illness manifesting as these conditions.

About Us

Conventional medicine has been thinking about chronic pain and depression in entirely the wrong way. After years of research, we now know that conditions such as Chronic Pain Syndrome, Chronic Migraine, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, Chronic Lyme Disease, PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcus), chronic back pain, depression, anxiety, and PTSD are not diseases in themselves, but actually symptoms of an underlying inflammation of the brain – a neuroinflammatory disease causing a “brain on fire.”

The Foundation for Total Recovery, Inc. is a organization, all U.S. donations to the Foundation for Total Recovery are tax-deductible.

The Foundation for Total Recovery, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to help find a cure and help better understand, diagnose, treat, and ultimately prevent the progression of neuroinflammatory disease. In addition, the foundation offers important resources to help educate and support patients suffering from chronic pain, as well as their caregivers and doctors, and those involved in researching chronic pain.
